Stop converting currency. What's 10-13 cents for you is a plateful of food for some.
So thoughtful. Thank you!!

Most of clothes 99% are made by machines not exploited workers. But Remember that from those 2 euros, 1,90 are for taxes and Companies. Exacly the same happens in a 20$ T-shirt

Coming to this in 2024. I'm a homeschooled journalist doing a project on fast fashion, and this is such an incredible project. Brought me half to tears. Such a simple yet impactful experiment (not that the work behind the project was simple). I wish there was something like this in my city!
Very pretty! I love these wonderfully feminine fashion designs!
Sounds fantastic...it's the way forward.
Yep, well this didn't last. Temu and Shein and Wish etc. made sure of this.
Just beautiful

The T-shirt is too expensive. In itself, it’s a T-shirt, a salary.

Totally excellent.

First of all reducing use of plastics (synthetic fibres and dyes in clothing because it is bad for customers, for workers and not good for environment). I am very happy about organic certificates nice that in one the put emphasis on farmers have decent pay and their children access to education. Switching from cotton to linen and hemp will also be great since those plants require less pesticides and have anti-bacterial properties. Only shoes and jackets can be made out of synthetic fibres to reduce plastic waste. Transparency index is definitely good thing. What can I say some people will be scrooges and use fast fashion. But I wish more was talked in media about fast fashion. It would definitely help if in USA and all European countries there were lessons that teach how to repair clothes coz it is really sad that shirts that miss a button lay on landfills in Chile and Ghana or are used as fuel in winter by poor in Bulgaria and Ukraine. A lot of damaged clothing could be turned into rags for e.g..

A wonderfull labor.. I have worte your
Disgusting ad campaign. Donations should not be forced
Trying to fix factories everywhere is like a game of whack-a-mole. Workers need to have higher standards. I am of course sympathetic towards the fact that some poor people are desperate and will accept ANY job. But this is the root problem that needs to be fixed. By not buying products made under horrific conditions, we are merely depriving them of their only source of sustenance. If we were to completely turn Bangladesh around and fix workers' conditions, then the work would be moved to a cheaper country. It's an interesting idea to implement global labor standards, but HOW? Enforcement is a nightmare.

Such a wide ranging and interesting webinar, thank you!
It’s a double edged sword & she & the others get frelled regardless. Buy the clothing item & support this evil company Or You don’t buy & the company fails Either way the workers are fracked, they only work there because there is nothing better! So what becomes of them? Pay cuts? Layoffs? There needs to be a better solution!
let me see you mfs bad edition
beautiful !!! an ode to handloom and handspinning :)
Good idea, very poor execution. The sound quality is so bad, I can't tell what they're saying (or muttering) at crucial times. The view is obscured by her hand a lot, and the lighting is poor to boot. I came here via the How To Guides on Fashion Revolution's homepage, and I'm actually kind of offended that someone thought that this would qualify as any kind of useful guide. This is a "these people had an interaction"-video and nothing more, so please categorize and title it accordingly.
My definition of sustainability in fashion is to keep and repair clothes. On the budget I have right now, and the given the amount of greenwashing that is out there which is makes it so hard to know what you should and should not buy, the only clothes I can afford are the really cheap ones, so I have chosen to not buy anything. This of course does nothing for the fashion industry and small fashion businesses that need to survive. The only way to force big brands into doing what they should is to change the law, but this doesn't look like it's going to come any time soon.
I really admire what you do and its a real inspiration to my students...thank you!
Here's the problem - you can buy clothing from manufacturer's that practice ethical workplace standards and pay a higher wage. You haven't solved anything. All you've done is take work away from the most vulnerable people in our world. Just like the child labor crackdown - it left millions of children in WORSE situations. Life is hard. Life is not fair. Show gratitude for your privileged western life.
Спасибо. Очень сильно! Познавательно. Как мы покупаем одежду
Good thing to do for the people👍🏻. Thumbs up
pay the workers more, make their life easier.
